How do I earn entries?
Simple, every $1 you spend on any DIYK9 course or membership between May 15 and September 15, 2026 earns you one entry. Buy a $97 course? That's 97 entries. Pay monthly or annually for your membership? Every dollar of that counts too when spent between May 15 and September 15, 2026. The more you invest in your training, the more chances you have to win.
Do purchases I made before May 15 count?
Unfortunately no, only purchases made between May 15 and September 15, 2026 are eligible for entries. Mark your calendar and make sure any courses or memberships you've been eyeing are purchased during the entry window.
Do I have to buy something to enter?
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A free alternate method of entry (AMOE) is available. See the full Terms & Conditions for details on how to submit a no-purchase entry.
Who is eligible to enter?
The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of DIYK9 and their immediate family members are not eligible. See the full Terms & Conditions for complete eligibility rules.
What exactly can I win?
One grand prize winner will have their choice of two options: $25,000 cash, or a $50,000 voucher that can be used to either purchase the Build-A-Puppy dog outright or apply toward professional training for a dog you already own. The choice is entirely yours.
When is the drawing and how is the winner chosen?
The drawing will take place on or around September 21, 2026 once the entry window closes on September 15, 2026. One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries. The odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received. The winner will be contacted via the information provided at entry.
If I choose the $50,000 voucher, can I use it for any breed of dog?
The voucher can be used to purchase the Build-A-Puppy dog or to fund professional training through DIYK9 for a dog (or dogs) you already own. Breed restrictions and full voucher terms will be outlined in the Terms & Conditions. If you have a specific situation in mind, reach out and we'll walk you through it.
Are taxes included in the prize?
All federal, state, and local taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. We strongly recommend consulting a tax professional before accepting either prize option. Full details are in the Terms & Conditions.
